Lace Draped Tie-Back Camisole | Crochet Pattern PDF – 2 Designs
UK Terminology
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Featuring the Strawberry Lace Stitch, this design can be made as a flowing tie-back top with a softly draped back, or as a more structured style with an additional back panel and asymmetrical straps. Both versions offer an adjustable fit and an airy, open-lace texture, perfect for layering throughout spring and summer.
Suitable for advanced beginners who are comfortable with basic crochet stitches, following lace stitch patterns and simple garment construction.
TWO DESIGNS IN ONE PATTERN
This PDF includes instructions for both versions of the Han.kerchief Top:
- Draped Tie-Back Version: A flowing, open-back design with adjustable straps and a crochet tie to create the softly gathered back drape.
- Alternative Back & Strap Version: A more structured design featuring an additional lace back panel, asymmetrical straps and an optional metal ring detail.
Choose your favourite style or make both - No additional pattern purchase is required.

Yarn Substitutions
Although the samples use cotton yarn for a lightweight, breathable finish, you can experiment with other suitable yarns, including cotton blends, wool blends, acrylic and recycled fibres.
Different yarn weights and fibres will affect the drape, texture and sizing. If using a lighter yarn, the pattern includes guidance for increasing the starting chain to maintain a similar width.
A tension swatch is recommended when substituting yarn.
Tension / Gauge
Approximately 10 rows × 3 treble crochet clusters = 10cm × 10cm (unblocked).
Blocking is recommended to help open up the Strawberry Lace Stitch and achieve the final measurements.
