Yarn Substitutions

This pattern can be made using a variety of fibres, including wool, wool blends, acrylic, cotton and recycled yarns.

Different fibres may affect the finished drape, texture and sizing, so a tension swatch is recommended when substituting yarn.

Tension / Gauge

3 Iris Stitch clusters × 4 rows = approximately 10cm × 10cm (unblocked).

Blocking will help enhance the open texture and definition of the Iris Stitch.
